K A Stripp Ltd, plumbing and heating
With decades of experience as plumbing and heating engineers, this family firm did not need a website to get more work. But founder Kevin Stripp wanted to expand the renewables side of his business which will save his customers money and benefit the environment.
The website accordingly majors on ground source and air source heat pumps and on solar water heating, explaining how these technologies work and how customers can apply for grants.
Master HomeStay English Courses
Studying while holidaying in a tutor's home is an increasingly popular way to learn English. Here, a qualified teacher is using her website to set out the choice of courses and residential options she is offering.
In addition to basic course and teacher information, the website provides expanding photos of the accommodation and local area as well as a detailed questionnaire for the student to fill in, giving the teacher a feel for their level in English and their interests.
The 2nd Devons War Diary companion website
This "mini-site" matches the look and style of Pollinger Ltd who publish and distribute books on behalf of a range of authors.
It presents all the extra information that did not fit into Martin Body's book, which is inspired by his great-uncle who was killed during World War I. Some pages still in pdf form are slowly being converted to web pages with beautiful expanding photographs.

A single-page website, whose design was based the cover, advertises this new book by Roger Conlon.
A "Buy Now" button linked to the Paypal website makes purchases easy, with postage added automatically.
Paris Hideaway holiday apartment
Here a visitor will find all the details one would want to know when choosing a furnished apartment for a short stay in Paris, with gallery of expanding photos, availability calendar and extra space for articles about the district and about Paris itself.
Kate Chitham: artist, painter and graphic designer
Understandably, Kate wanted to control the look of the website that showcases her work in several artistic fields. The result is interconnected squares in soft, pastel colours with delicious swirly watermarks hand-drawn by Kate herself.
Applegreen enjoyed rising to the technical challenges of this unusual project and is very pleased with the result of our joint efforts.
Tenterden Schools Christian Worker Trust
Designed for a small charity, this website had to be built in double-quick time to provide application forms, and essential information, to enable youth workers to apply for a newly created post in a school. Applegreen managed to build in time and now the youth worker post has been sucessfully filled.
YouByYou Books, life-story publishing
Run by Anna Foster, this small company helps people turn their memoirs into books as gifts for their families and friends. The website abundantly showcases the work of YouByYou, demonstrating book types and examples to the prospective writer. It also includes a comprehensive guide to writing and producing a life story book.
Anglican benefice of Biddenden and Smarden Churches
This website provides service times for two busy churches, along with notices and events that are regularly updated. It is the first port of call for visitors and new members as well as people organising a wedding, baptism or funeral, saving clergy much valuable time in explaining procedures.
Zoesbooks, self-publishing
Illustrated artists' books, poetry compilations and innovative children's stories have all been successfully produced through Zoe Meyer, who gives individual attention to all her projects. Her website explains her approach and shows the breadth of her work, adding useful testimonials from clients. The original design was by Blackandwhitepixels with updates and ongoing management by Applegreen.
Frogshole Farm, producing asparagus and organic arable
Frogshole asparagus is famous in Kent and fans like to know when it's available. The website gives up-to-date information together with recipes, cooking tips and illustrations. One beautiful page describes a year in the life of the farm which also grows organic crops.
A simple contact page enables asparagus afficionados to sign up for an email alert informing them exacly when their favourite delicacy is ready to buy.

A simple one-page website promoting a book of poetry, and providing the means to purchase it through Paypal.
